Based in Ada, Michigan, U.S., on the same property where our company was founded, our global footprint stretches across six continents with a presence in more than 100+ countries and territories. While many things have changed over the past 60 years, our four Founders Fundamentals and six company values still guide us today. And, we remain one of the largest family-owned companies—an attribute that’s rare in 2021.
U.S.-based company with global footprint in more than 100+ countries and territories
Family owned company–an attribute rare today.
We are guided by four Founders Fundamentals: Quality, Service, Innovation, Responsibility; six Company Values: Teamwork, Commitment to Excellence, Accountability for Results,
Quality: We have a rigorous quality process in place to ensure only the highest standards of products.
Our Brand Partners are encouraged and supported every step of the way with our Amway Business Owner Success team, which is comprised of more than 150+ people across 12 countries that provide one-on-one coaching and training.
More than one million Amway Business Owners (ABOs) are the heart and soul of our company.
Their success is integrated into everything we do. We’re here to support their goals, whether it’s extra cash, financial flexibility or personal freedom.
Our ABOs are supported by more than 15,000 employees who work in hundreds of locations around the world. We offer incredible, cross-cultural career opportunities for some of the best talent around the globe. From farming to finance, technology to teaching, our international team helps build better lives for themselves, their customers and their families.
We’re also committed to our communities. We work with more than 350 non-profits around the world, giving back and making a difference in people’s lives as they do for ours.
It goes without saying that Amway is built on trust—the one quality we can never lose sight of through all these changes.
Our reason for being is simple. We exist to help live better, healthier lives. To help us realize this belief in others, we follow the six values our business was built upon: partnership, integrity, personal worth, achievement, personal responsibility and free enterprise.
In the mid-1980s, Amway was one of the first companies to take a stand against apartheid. When many companies pulled out of Africa during this time, we stayed and invested in these communities. We continue to support peace initiatives today with our African operations there as well as other countries around the world where conflict has taken place or is.
We can all agree that 2020 brought unique challenges, setbacks and unforgettable lessons, both in life and work. Through it all, and due to the perseverance and resilience of our employees and Amway Business Owners (ABOs), Amway posted 2020 sales of $8.5 billion, an increase of 2% over 2019.
Eight of our top 10 markets grew in 2020 with sales in the United States growing an impressive 10%. In line with the global focus on health and wellness in 2020, our nutrition products accounted for more than 50% of our sales.
In fact, nutrition has always been an important part of our business and in the coming year, we will increase our investments in nutrition science, innovation and manufacturing as we pivot our portfolio to serve society’s evolving health and wellness needs.
We are focused on doing everything we can to help our ABOs build communities of customers around their passions including healthy living, fitness, beauty, adventure, cooking and more. We are living in a world where all one needs to be successful is a passion, a positive attitude and a mobile phone. That is why we are committed to making strategic investments and forming alliances that will help our more than one million ABOs serve their customers and be successful. We have a bold vision for our future, and these investments and actions are aligned to our purpose to help even more people live better, healthier lives.
